Today we went to the John Deere international headquarters to visit the museum.
Our grandson, Miles, would have loved it because you are invited to climb into the cabs of all sorts of farm machinery. Who hasn’t wondered what it is like in the cab of a giant tractor? It is actually quite high tech and comfy. There is a video screen and sensors to help you do the job. There is even an extra seat for a guest.
Guess how much this combine costs? If you guessed $1 million you are right!
We also learned about John Deere, the man. It turns out he was a “raging abolitionist”.
